Who we are

Westgrid Power Co. ("Westgrid Power", "we") buys and sells reconditioned electrical equipment. We're part of the Driftwood group of companies, located at 6800 Veyaness Rd, Saanichton, BC, Canada V8M 2A8. Questions about this policy or your information: hello@westgridpower.ca or 250-XXX-XXXX.

What we collect

When you submit a quote request or sell-your-equipment form, we collect what you type in: your name, company, phone number, email, delivery or equipment location, equipment specifications, and any notes. We also record basic context about the submission — the page you were on, how you found us (for example, a search ad versus a direct visit), and the time it was sent.

If you call or email us, we keep the normal records of that correspondence.

Our forms use a hidden anti-spam check instead of a CAPTCHA — it doesn't collect anything about you.

How we use it

One purpose: responding to your request — pricing, sourcing, logistics, and following up on it. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists. If we email or call you, it's about your request.

Where it goes

Form submissions are delivered to our private trading-desk channel in Slack and handled by our team there. Our website runs on Railway (a hosting provider) and email is handled by Google Workspace. These providers store data on servers that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — pages visited, traffic source, and whether a quote request was completed. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google's servers. We use this in aggregate; it isn't used to identify you personally. If we run advertising, conversion measurement (counting that an ad led to a quote request) uses the same data.

The site sets no other cookies. No social-media trackers, no data brokers.

How long we keep it

Quote and sale records are kept as long as they're commercially relevant — quotes often turn into orders months later, and equipment history matters for warranty. If you'd like your contact information removed sooner, ask and we'll remove it unless a transaction requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@westgridpower.ca and we'll respond promptly. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes won't apply retroactively to information collected under the old policy.
